Resident Frequencies @ National Gallery Singapore

I have been working on an 8-channel sound installation called Resident Frequencies. Commissioned by National Gallery Singapore, the work is a response the histories and architecture of the site. In creating the work I have made use of the spaces in and around the gallery to record and transform my sound material. The works title is a play on the term ‘resonant frequencies’, which describes the natural frequency at which an acoustic object or space vibrates. Through sound, this work seeks to evoke the aural memories that reside on the site, setting their vibrations in motion once more.
